Gabe Ibáñez
He has directed Máquina (Machine) (2006), his first short film which was awarded the Special Jury Prize at Clermont Ferrand in 2007, Hierro (Iron) (2008), his first feature film screened at the Cannes Film Festival and at Sitges Film Festival, where the protagonist won an award for Best Actress, and Autómata (Automaton) (2014), starring Antonio Banderas.
Founder of Extipo at the Complutense University of Madrid, a pioneering partnership specializing in the study and development of computer-generated visual effects. He has also worked as 3D artist and special effects supervisor. He has animated characters in the following films: El niño invisible (The Invisible Child) (1995), El día de la bestia (The Day of the Beast) (1995), Perdita Durango (1997) and El corazón del guerrero (Warrior Heart) (2000).
