Nuria Oliver
Nuria Oliver is a computer scientist with over 20 years experience in research in Artificial Intelligence, Human-Computer Interaction and Mobile Computing at MIT, Microsoft Research and she was the first female Scientific Director of Telefónica R&D, Chief Data Scientist at DataPop Alliance and Director of Research in Data Science at Vodafone, where she currently works. She is also the first Spanish female scientist named Fellow of the IEEE and of the ACM, both in 2017. She is also a Fellow of the European Association of Artificial Intelligence (eurAI) since 2016.
Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, mobile computing, computational social science and human-machine interaction.
Nuria has published more than 150 scientific articles in international conferences, magazines and book chapters. Her work has been widely acknowledged by the scientific community with more than 12,000 citations. In addition, she has 40 applications and granted patents and countless awards and recognitions, including the Medal for Business and Social Merit of the Generalitat Valenciana (2017) and the National Computing Award (Angela Ruiz Robles, 2017).
